Proliant ML150 G2 and Transcend PDU3

Hello,

Please, could a guru tell me if the (rather old) ML150 G2, running Windows XP SP3, is able to use a Transcend PDU3 card ?

Thanks a lot
Best regards

Re: Proliant ML150 G2 and Transcend PDU3

Hey,

see the quickspecs of the ML150 G2 here:

http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12092_na/12092_na.HTML

The server has:

Six expansion slots: four 64-bit/66-MHz PCI-X (3 available), one x4 PCI-Express, and one 32-bit/33MHz PCI

While the card wants:

PCI Express 2.0 single lane (x1)

-- But will it work?

As far as I can see the actual card should fit and work in the x4 PCI-e slot in the ML150 G2.

-- HP/Compaq servers tend to be quite picky when it comes to these non-supported cards. Maybe somebody else on the forum has tried this and can shed some light.

Hi,

Thanks for your answer.
I red the specs previously, and I'm more concerned by your second point: will the card work in the Proliant ?
Best regards
