Proliant ML150 G2 server

Can anybody tell me how to update the firm ware of my HP Proliant ML 150 G2 server? I have tried booing from the Firmware Maintenance CD version from 7.5 to latest 8.6 nothing is compatible with my G2 server. I am trying to install Server 2008 before that I want to completely update the firmware.

Any solutions ?

Hi,
ML150 G2 does not support Firmware Maintenance CD.
You can manually update the firmware of individual component using Floppy.

Use following link to select any Windows OS and download the firmware for BIOS, Storage controller etc.

So, You are trying to install Windows 2008 on this server!!
Don't think so it is supported, check the link shared previously Windows 2008 drivers are not available.

OK,
Got the following compatibility chart,
as per which Windows 2008 (Web server, Enterprise and Standard edition) is supported on this old machine. Only question is where to get drivers?

This information is confusing, ML150 G2 is not listed in HCL for windows 2008 x86

Thank you very much for all your information.

I have installed Windows server 2008 Enterprise on My server without any issues.Also I got good display resolution of 1280x1024 without even installing any drivers.
