Proliant ML150 G5 - Problem with RAID 1 more 750 Mb, Seagate ES.3 3Tb
Hello!
I have Proliant ML150 G5 with embedded controller
I try to make RAID 1 with Seagate ES.3 3TB, but my controller shows array's HDD only 750 Mb.
How can I use controller with 3Tb?
Is it possible?
Does my controller is supporting 3Tb?

Re: Proliant ML150 G5 - Problem with RAID 1 more 750 Mb, Seagate ES.3 3Tb
Hi,
HP Array Controllers may not work with Non-HP hard drives.
The reason being, other hard drives do not have HP Firmware.
Coming to this issue, ML150 G5 has "HP Embedded SATA RAID Controller" and according to the QuickSpecs, this server comes with Hot Plug and Non-Hot Plug hard drive support.
The maximum hard drive size supported for "SATA Non-Hot Plug 3.5" Midline (MDL) Drives" is "HP 750GB 3G SATA 7.2K NHP 3.5" MDL HDD" 462595-B21.
Do check your server model, controller and QuickSpecs for more understanding.
Thank You!
I am a HP employee
