Proliant ML310 G1 SCSI Raid Card Advice
I have an HP/Compaq Proliant ML310 G1 Server that has two scsi hard drives.
I am wanting to mirror these two drives together using a Raid card (already tried built in Windows 2000 Server Mirror but not impressed).
I am looking for a card no more than ┬г200 that is HP compatible.
Our other servers use Smart Array 642 Raid Cards but these are too expensive for what I need.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance

I know this must sound silly, but try eBay. Their are reasons why RAID controller cards are expensive, they work, 35% more efficient than software mirrors. Any hardware geek will tell you. Good luck.

Your server has
4 - 64 bit, 33 MHz PCI slots
You don't really need 6th Generation controllers, max 5th search for 531 532 or 5302 or even 4th with universal type

To keep on that track, try the tested and true 2SL SMART (single channel) or 2 DH SMART (dual channel). They are older but real work horses in the day.
