Proliant ML310 server
Hi We have an ML310 that appeared to be running ok,(windows 2000 sbs) except that some services had stopped i decided it was time for a reboot.
When re booting it came up with an error message of "Error in primary device 1 please replace it"
1783 drive array controller failure megaraid ide not configured
It tries to boot using network etc then just gives up
Does anyone have any ideas

Re: Proliant ML310 server
Hi
Looks like the array controller or one of the harddisk connected to it has failed. The error looks like a controller issue and mybe required to be replaced. To confirm this you try to boot of a bootable cd to make sure.

Re: Proliant ML310 server
Tried rebooting again this morning and it made a series of beeps and then started working ok. Not sure what happened may be controller or disc has intermittent fault.
