Proliant ML330 G3 second processor "unsupported"

Hello everybody!

I bought a second processor (Xeon, 2.8, 512, 533FSB) for the ML330 G3 (plus an extra heatsink+fan part for Proliants), both processors are initialized (same specifications, of course), but then booting stops (only rompaq).

Yesterday I upgraded the rompaq*, the result is the same.

Any ideas, how to get the second processor working?

Michael,

Here are a few thing that I would try â Clear your NVRAM from the RBSU (F9) and see if it helps; try disabling hyper threading; see in the second processor works (individually) in the first processor slot, if it does, install the original processor one in the second processor slot. Try to base line your server to the minimum.

I hope this hel
