Hello,
suddenly our server shut down and try to restart continuosly.
ILo2 Log reports continuosly "Power loss due to overheating. Attempting to restore power" if I try to turn on power.
The temperature in the room is about 20° C and all the others server are working fine.
What could be the problem?
Ilo2 firmware is 2.01
Thanks Francesco
PS:In the attachments IML and ILo log screenshots

Re: Proliant ML330 G6 ILO2 Log "Power loss due to overheating. Attempting to restore power"
Ambient reports up to 57 degrees - wow, that's hot.
Maybe a bad sensor?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Proliant ML330 G6 ILO2 Log "Power loss due to overheating. Attempting to restore power&
Oh thanks probably, I'm not so familiar with ILo and i haven't noticed that...but is there a way to bypass the sensor so that the server could start?
it could be a ILo firmware problem?

If the room temperature is just 20 ºC, the ambient sensor is probably bad.
On ML servers, the ambient sensor is somewhere on the front of the server and it is usually connected to the system board via two wires. Try to find the sensor and test what happens if you disconnect it.
