Proliant ML350 G2 powers off automatically
Every now and then our ML350 powers off automatically, and we are unable to find the source of the problem. It happens seemingly at random and a usually a couple of weeks apart. The server is running Netware 5.1 SP5. There is no record in the Netware logs or Compaq Integrated Log that indicates a cause. We suspect a hardware problem. The server environment is well airconditioned.
Any ideas ?

Re: Proliant ML350 G2 powers off automatically
I just rolled out 105 ML 350 G2's with NetWare6, sp2. I have had 4 power supplies fail.
I also have had 45 servers randomly been found powered off, to which we can power back up without raplacing the power supply. Serveral servers have went down more than once. But, there has been months in between.
They were all istalled with SS 5.5.

Re: Proliant ML350 G2 powers off automatically
Have you checked if you have ASR (Automatic Server Recovery) enabled on your servers? If enabled ASR can take your servers down in instances where a fan failure of temperature rises above a specified threshold value?
