Proliant ML350 G4 fan failure.

Hello my CPU fan connector's 12V (red) connector on my Proliant ML350 G4 is broken. I fixed it by using the 12V on the other connector. The fan works fine but I get the error "Fan Failure" when I boot up. How can I disable that error to boot the server up?

hi,

I don't think, that you can disable this error. You may have an issue with the cpu heatsink, which should be replaced most probably. What do you mean with " I fixed it by using the 12V on the other connector". Have you replaced the heatsink with the one from the second CPU?

Thanks

He heatsink an the fan are fine. It is the connector on the motherboard that is broken.

Hi,

Clear the NVRAM from the system maintainence switch on the motherboard and check.
