Proliant ML350 G5 BIOS Boot Order

Hello All,

I have a question regarding determining the current BIOS boot order without rebooting a server.

I work for a company that has customers all over the globe running either Dell or HP servers. One of the maintenance/upgrade tasks that we perform requires that a USB device be inserted into the server and at some point we execute our process and the server reboots. The problem we incur is when the server reboots if the boot order is incorrect the server boots from the USB and the server is down until we can get a local resource to sort out the matter.

The need we have is a method of determining the current BIOS boot order from within a Windows 2003 environment

Would anyone know of a method of determining/show the BIOS BOOT order on HP Proliant class servers?

Kind Regards,

Brian
