Proliant ML350 G5 PPM2 unit failed

Hi all,

Got a ML350 that will not boot due to ppm2 failure.

Is there anyway of just running the server on one processor whilst I await the new ppm2 module?

Or wll i have to wait for the new PPM2 module which is 3 days?

Thanks

hi

well remove CPU (processor) and PPM 2, no other way until you get the new part

found out one of the psu units is also faulty ...could that be causing the ppm2 amber light?

hi

I know some power supplies can cause an LED for PPM2 for ML350 G5

so call HP and check your power supplies

I think taht you must remove CPU 2 and PPM 2 and wait until new PPM arrived.

Power supply will result in iml log event about some ind of power outgage or errors.

Kind regards,
