Proliant ML350 G5 bios settings
Hello All,
I need to be able to enter bios during boot up of a Proliant ML350 G5 to disable a serial card.
I believe I will need to enter the F-10 key when prompted but just want to confirm. Then once I'm in the bios settings what would be the steps to take to disable a serial card.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike P

Re: Proliant ML350 G5 bios settings
Hello Mike.
In order to access your server BIOS, you need to press F9. Then, to disable a serial card, you can select SYSTEM OPTIONS, choose one (or both) of the EMBEDDED SERIAL PORTS, then you disable both serial ports.
As for F10, through this key, you can verify
options previously configured in BIOS (F9, Setup Utility) as well as running some test about memory, cpu,and boot disk (Diagnostics Utility).
