Proliant ML350 G6 and VMware vSphere 4, which firmware updates to install

Hi

I'm about to install "VMware vSphere 4 Essentials Bundle for 3 hosts" to a new ML350 (P/N: 470065-113). It houses SA P410i controller and these disks:
2 pcs HP 146GB 10K 6G 2.5 SAS DP ENT HDD
2 pcs HP 1TB 6G SAS 7.2K 2.5IN MDL HDD
No tapedrive.

1. Is there any VMware specific firmware/drivers available from HP? I found only VMware ESX/ESXi 4.1/4.0/server 3.5 section under HP drivers and software site.
2. Can I download somewhere a CD/DVD which checks and updates all firmware for HW installed on the server?
3. Does SmartStart work with VMware? ANything spesific there?

You should download the smartstart firmware maintenance dvd 9.30 and do the firmware update offline.

Donwloading "Smart Update Firmware DVD v. 9.30" allready. Can I use "HP SmartStart CD x64 v. 8.70" to configure array and also to install VMware vSphere 4Essential?

Of course you can use this cd to configure the array.

I wasn't sure how to update all Proliant firmware and SW easely and was helped in this thread.

Currently the latest Smart Update Firmware DVD is version 9.3. I found it under Windows 2008 R2 drivers and software. Also SmartStart 8.7. was there.

Can someone please confirm, that the Smartstart CD/DVD is applicable to install VSphere 4.1?
