Proliant ML350G5 missing drive in RAID5 configuration

The server was dead monday morning. (Windows 2003 Server)
Internal health amber - CPU led was amber inside.

The warranty went out in march. The client did not renew warranty, very bad idea.
Proliant ML350 G5 Server with 3 identical drives in RAID5 configuration

We have replace the motherboard with a new one from HP Parts

The server is working but the led of drive1 was red (missing drive in the hp array diag).
I have updated all firmwares.
We have replace drive1 with one from HP Parts but the led is still red on the drive even if it is not the same drive anymore.
I have not rebooted the server, can it correct the problem ?

What should i do ?

Should i replace the board or the drive again ?

Thanks for your help.

Re: Proliant ML350G5 missing drive in RAID5 configuration

Hey, red light means that the controller cannot communicate with the disk. Could be cable/controller problem if it's not the disk. But, I'd maybe try replace disk again first (it is the same size/speed/type, compatible?). Why replace the board? Is the RAID controller on the system board in this model.
If CPU led is amber - wouldn't that mean the CPU is borked?

Re: Proliant ML350G5 missing drive in RAID5 configuration

Yesterday i inserted the drive in two other bay for testing inside the os before rebooting to see if it was appearing in the hp tools...but it did not and these messages appeared in Hp proliant integrated Management log viewer

Internal SAS enclosure device failure (Bay 5, Box 1, Port 1I, Slot 0)

Internal SAS enclosure device failure (Bay 6, Box 1, Port 1I, Slot 0)

I put the drive back in Bay 1

i have reboot the server 2 times.

The second time F1 appear to ask me for a rebuild. That's was i did.

But the rebuild did not complete and that message has appear in Hp proliant integrated Management log viewer at 4:59 this morning.
Internal SAS enclosure device failure (Bay 1, Box 1, Port 1I, Slot 0)

Is the problem related to the drive or controller or something else ?

I need help please

It was port 2I in the first 2 messages not 1I
