Proliant ML370 G1 DLT Problem
Hi,
I have a ML370 G1 running Windows NT4.0, it has a 40/80GB DLT drive installed. This recently started failing, installed a new 40/80GB drive from HP but Backup Exec 8.6 cant pick it up.
This is from HP new so im guessing it has the latest firmware which I believe to be too new for the driver to work. Has anyone else seen this before? In which case, know where to get a driver for it that works?
I believe this to be down to the Windows driver as the server itself sees the device and Backup Exec sees something but cannot load it.
Any help will be appreciated
Cheers
Kyle

Re: Proliant ML370 G1 DLT Problem
Hi,
I have in the past also wrestled with this problem. With me the answer was to install the drivers for the internal SCSI dual channel wide ultra-2 adaptor to which it was connected at the time. It seems that the drivers were not automatically installed.
- HP Proliant 32 bit SCSI controller diver for Windows 2000 / Windows 2003 from:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/locate/20_1119.html
After that the DLT was recognised and I could install:
- HP Storageworks Tape and Automation driver installer that made it all work.
Good luck!
