Proliant ML370 G1, the power button doesn't function
Hello,
I have a Compaq Proliant ML370 G1 (TowerForm). It works fine.
The issue is that what I connect to AC power it starts up Without need to push the POWER Switch !!
and nothing happens when I hold Power switch to power it OFF. I need to unplug the AC cord.
I've checked all cables.
I am at <alainbastien@gmail.com>
Thanks

Re: Proliant ML370 G1, the power button doesn't function
I would disconnect the power button and check for any shorts (closed circuit). An experienced technician could also manually bridge the power switch pins to test the motherboard. You also need to check the BIOS settings as most system BIOS have an option to automatically power on after a power failure and that would cause the system to power on when the power cord is plugged in.

Is this the same system that you mentioned here in 2013?
