Proliant ML370 G5 keeps trying to boot to USB.

Proliant ML370 G5 keeps trying to boot to USB.

I have an external USB drive connected to my ML370. During a reboot it will try to boot it then just hang. I have to disconnect it, boot the server, then reconnect it.

How can I tell the server to ignore the USB drive?

I have changed the boot order before and put the USB drive last. The problem here is if the system ever boots up without the USB drive present and powered on, it wipes it from the boot selection. So next boot up, its back at the top of the order again.

Can I just tell the BIOS to never try to boot from USB?

I am having the same problem with the boot order on my Dl360 G5. It keeps changing upon reboot to PCMI as reported by the end user. Then it will not boot up. I have to into the bios and change the boot order and then it will boot but the next shutdown it is right back to the same thing.
