Proliant ML370 backup help
mProliant ML370 (Pentium 933)with a Compaq 12/24 Dat. We need to get a larger capacity Dat for this server. Will standard HP Dat drives work with the Proliant? We have an external HP Dat40e that would be nice to use, would it work? I know HP has certain models of tape drives especially for Proliant. Thanks in advance. Mark

Re: Proliant ML370 backup help
We have 2 x ML370(G1) that use Compaq DDS4 20/40 GB DAT Drive w/o problems.
How much do you need to backup & what is your window? I ask because although I use DDS3 & DDS4 Drives, I'll likely not buy another as the technology is kinda ancient, and most people have exceeded the 20-40GB tape size.
