Proliant ML380 G4 SmartStart 7.5.1 OS load error

Setting up a new server and during the process of loading the OS from the SmartStart menu, the server hangs "copying data" from OS CD. We let it run for over night and never finished.

Is there any known problems/fixes for this? Can I use another SmartStart CD from an earlier version?

Hello T Richardson,

If its a dual processor server, try with single processor.
Is it a Scsi model or a SAS model?

Is it the same if you try a manual install i.e without the SSCD 7.51?

That was going to be our next option if we didn't find any "work arounds" for the SmartStart CD. But do you loose any useful tools/benefits not installing through SmartStart?

If you do a manual install,

1.No GUI to configure array.Use ORCA F8 during POST after controller is detected.
2.May have to load raid controller drivers using F6 option.

Try SSCD 7.4
