Proliant ML570 G4
Hello, i have a simlpe question that needs an answer. Our Server at the moment has a memory configuration which
as i just read about, is totally wrong concerning the optimum performance of the machine.
As I read in the online manual of this particular server, it gives 3 different configurations of memory dimms
one with 4Gb of memory, one with 52Gb and another one with 64Gb of memory.
Me question is instead of using 4X1Gb on the first memory module and 12 X 4Gb dimms on the other three memory modules which gives 52 of total memory, can i use 4X1 on the first module and 12X2Gb on the other three which will give a total of 28Gb memory?
Or please advice on any other memory configuration with maximum total memory of 48Gb.
Im asking you that because we want to do an upgrade to the memory of the server but it seems that those
memory dimms are too expensive.
Thank you.
