Proliant ML570 max CPU chip available?

Hi all. I've been searching HP.com PDF's and forums in an attempt to find out:

What is the highest speed CPU I can put in the ML570 Tower? Part number?

I can't seem to find anything. Thanks!

For the ML570 (original generation), the highest is the Pentium III Xeon 900mHz with 2MB cache. You can put 4 of these into the server. This option part number is 222627-B21. I believe this kit also comes with the Processor Power Module.

Re: Proliant ML570 max CPU chip available?

I currently have 2x700Mhx P3 Xeons in there now. I've never upgraded/put in new CPU's. Can I mix/match 700's and 900's?

I guess what I'd like is to plop 2x900Mhz Xeons in there to max out the server CPU's?

Thanks. :)

Peter:

You can install 4 x PIII Xeon 900Mhz 2MB cache processors in this server.

You need to purchase Option Part Number:
222627-B21

Here is the PDF guideline on installing the processors:
http://h200007.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/UCR/SupportManual/TPM_122821-002_rev3_us/TPM_122821-002_rev3_us.pdf

To install the processors, follow the directions on page 65.

You should not mix the processor speeds in this server. The processor speed settings are listed on page 161

Here is the quickspec:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/10633_na/10633_na.HTML

Hope this helps! -john
