I replaced a hd with no led activity. New drive rebuild complete. Still no led actvity. Array utility shows no errors, status OK. Wassup? TIA!

Can you please post the ADU here ? Could be a spare or something or it could be the backplane that could be acting up, Post the ADU will let you know

Thankx for the reply. Slot 7 has the no led activity. I remotely restarted the server since the rebuild, so i do not know if the led activity is still inactive. Attached is the ADU report. TIA!

SolutionDue to report you attached, there are no problems with drives or controller, so maybe an issue is in backplane LEDs, since "drive leds" are not situated on the drive itself. BTW I have recently received a NEW DL180 witn the same problem - everything worked fine, but one drive activity led in the cage was faulty. Bad soldering, I guess. Drive cage backplane replacement fixed the issue.
