Proliant Support Pack and NIC Teaming

If one wants to deploy or run a support pack on a server, does the NIC team need to be disolved prior to install of the support pack?

As far as I can recal No.

But NICs of the same type may loose connection at the same time if using the same driver so the team will become inactive for a few seconds.

Well, what I have heard is, that it is important that we dissolve teams before such updates. By dissolving teams you have more chances for a 100% success.

If you don't want to enter all the IPs per hand, you can google for netsetman - you can make even a portable version and if you get used to it, you will appreciate the help of this app :)
