Re: Proliant dl350g2

loose network connections, nics stop responding and leds stop flashing,.
On re-boot, the on post it "hangs" when it tries to load the two NICs, and can either carry on into the OS and then causes problems....

Re: Proliant dl350g2

reg have you aquired these boards as a batch lot or have you had them working before

update firmwares drivers all round , check for isa firewall on network or symantec end point disable tefer2 driver in dev manager
disable any firewall running

what happens now..

Re: Proliant dl350g2

hi,

There are 27 all doing the same internal task, connected to a domain .. so no firewall etc is needed on them.... some have failed before and I have just changed the system board.

Re: Proliant dl350g2

Hi, and after you replaced the system board have the problem come back? In that case it seems like a bad batch..

Re: Proliant dl350g2

Reg if this is the case i would for now install an internal nic on some of them and see what happens,
but having many dead nics is not common,
i would check the ups if there is one is and ensure it is functioning corecty.

you have a host of nics here which are specific for your server with order numbers too

just look under the tab communications..
