Proliant iLO Server Name - name change
Allo, I've changed the hostname of my ESX server but the iLO thinks it's still the old name, and I simply can't see where this is changed. Does anyone have a clue please?

Re: Proliant iLO Server Name - name change
Had you restart server, services, agent?
ESX has some limitation on the discovery, not sure if that would be related to your case
When ever you find answer please update thread

Re: Proliant iLO Server Name - name change
either enter directly the iLO firmware at boot up (F8 at iLO initialization) or use the system management homepage.

Re: Proliant iLO Server Name - name change
I've found that it changed upon installing the relevant Insight agents. I didn't really want to do this because we're currently moving to MOM, which has its own management agent and then I'll have to uninstall the heaps of stuff that HP installs.
It's a bit silly that an independent piece of firmware such as the iLO is actually dependent on some other software for a feature!
