Proliant ml 110 and win xp

hello,

we bought a proliant ml 110 for our company. It was send to us with win xp installed. In the beginning the system was running properly. But after some problems I had to re-install xp and it didn't run any more.
Later on I heard from hp that this kind of server is not running with xp. So we bought win 2003 server professional. When I tryy to install this one it can't detect any of the harddrives. What is the problem?

Best,
Chris

Re: Proliant ml 110 and win xp

This is slightly off topic but, as supplied, the ML110 ( G2, G3 & G4 ) have only a single DIMM memory module installed.

This reduces the CPU-memory performance by half and reduces the overall system performance by 10-25%

If you install matched pairs of DIMMs - in the correct sockets - you will improve the performance of the complete system.

See the attached document for more details
