Hello, I have a problem configuring my server. I have a proliant ml 30 with 3 hdd 2,4 gb sas 10k rpm (part number 881457-b21).
On hpe web site they seem to be compatible with my server but they are not detected by smart array controller.
I checkd bios configuration as suggested on many posts and it is compliant with suggestions. I reset bios configuration too but disks are still not detected.
Led on discks are orange and fixed when server is powered on...
could you help me?
thank you in advance
Marco

SolutionThe embedded HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 Software RAID controller only supports SATA drives. To use SAS drives you need to install one of the optional 'E' or 'P' series Smart Array controllers that support both SAS and SATA
