Proliant ml150 g9 Fan noise
We have a new unit and I installed 4: WD Black 1TB Mobile Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 32MB Cache 2.5 Inch - WD10JPLX and the fan noise is impossible. HPE says I need HPE drives. We updated the ILO and Bios and no change. We are thinking of spacing out the drives, replacing them with SSDs or maybe changing the fans,.
Hard to beleive that the server is acting this way. Any ideas or solutions would be appreciated. We have looked on-line and don;t see anything that works for us.
Thanks.

Re: Proliant ml150 g9 Fan noise
Hi Jslovik ,
I would recommend you to check by installing the HPE drives which is compatible with this server.
Please find the ML150 Gen9 quick specification https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c04447843
That could be the cause for the reported issue.
Regards,
Vijay
