Proliant ml770

I am about to take delivery of a 2nd Hand Proliant Ml770 (16). Have tried to locate any compaq stuff on this server without success. Am looking at installation especially, does anyone have any ideas.

I dug around a good bit and didnt turn up anything =\ sombody else may beable to help you out better than I can. Looks like you may have to buy the manuals for it or some such, give HP a call and harass em, see what they have for it. I am pretty sure it needs 3 phase power to even "switch on". You wouldnt happen to want to sell `er would ya ;)

no idea =\ try calling them and seeing what if anything it will set you back, or if they even offer such a thing, hp/cpq is generaly pretty good about keeping manuals online, this ones kinda strange =|

Looks like when they scrapped the 16/32way server, they dumped any effort to write any manuals for this box.

Additionally, it looks like they did not populate the parts store with spare parts specifically for this box. I don't even see the storage rack and assemblies for this one.

It's like it never existed!

That said, I know Unisys sold some of these under their branding for the Win2K Data Center effort, but it too was cut short because of sales...
