i have a proliant 1600 600MHZ ....it had Win2000 server on it...i installed WinXP Pro over it...and now i am trying to totally format the harddrive and install Win2k server again ...but i couldnt get into my BIOS to change the boot priority so that it can boot from the CDROM ...
how can i do that?
am i on the right track or there is a different way to do all this?

Re: Proliant1600 Can't enter BIOS
Hi Faisal,
If you cant access your bios (f10) you can still run the SCU off floppy sp 19619: http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/index.html
,or from the Cdrom you would run the system configuration utility to access the boot order. Also if you want to totally format the drive you can also run the Erase utility but remember you will have to run the SCU and the ACU the array configuration utility after. Its off the smart start CD also and if you don???t have one the ACU (the disk version sp6263 is possible; but it would be best if you get a hand on the smart start cd latest version; since the 6263 is the older version of the ACU and might cause problem if you run the latest version.
Claude
Hope this help
