Re: Quad Core - Proliant ML150 G3
Try to upgrade the Systems ROMPaq to the latest and then try to add the second processor in case you have not tried that.
The latest Systems ROMPaq Firmware Upgrade is available here:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/26445.html
Hope this works!!!!!
Regards,
rmn

Re: Quad Core - Proliant ML150 G3
thank for interesting in my question.
I've already installed the latest bios version.
No way. It doesn't work.
I've installed, alternatively, the single processor on 3 indentical machine. They works.
when I try to install the second one, after plugging in the power cord and pressing the power-on button, the fan start at maximum speed for a few seconds; after of that, the fan reduce their speed for an half.
the system stay in this situation for minutes.
powering off and popwering on again, using the power on button, the fan start at half speed; in the same way I've "stopped" the system.
Unplugging the power cord, system restart like at I say at the beginning.
I called HP techical support.
they says it's the first case...
may should be necessary a new bios version...
do you have any other idea?
many thank.
bye.

Re: Quad Core - Proliant ML150 G3
I've already seen that.
but doesn't solved the problem.
I mean: my problem.
In any cases, my problem was a little bit old ... and I've been "forced" to find another solution ...
