Question about DL380 G4/G5 with 2 CPU

Hi,
maybe a stupid question, but I don't know the answer: what happens in 2 CPU DL380 G4/G5 servers when one cpu hangs (the server runs with 1 CPU or the server shutds down) ?

O.S. used: Win 2003 Server/Ent. Server and Linux

Hi,

CPU may fail, not hang - OS hangs.

If a CPU fails then if ASR (Automatic Server Recovery) is enabled, the server reboots & try to start using remaining processor.

ASR is OS independent.
