RAID Card for DL360 G4? SATA???

I have a DL360 G4 with two SATA disks. Can you confirm which RAID card I need for this box?

Most powerfull is the 6400 serie

Thanks, I don't think these are SATA complaint. Just SCSI?

Na, don't think DL360g4 has hardware raid for SATA --- unlike the DL320s model

Hi everybody,

We buy a DL360 G4 with a "HP 8 INT Port SAS/SATA HBA" in order to use RAID 1 with Linux RHEL3 or 4 but I encounter a problem in installation... I'm enable to "find" a driver disk that works during the installation.

There is a driver CD with the RAID card with some mptlinux...dd.gz files for i686, em64t or x86_64 CPU, but after a "dd if=file of=/dev/fd0", I put the floppy disk and ask the installation program to load the driver disk and the only answer I have is that no device is appropriate to driver disk... I try with a RHEL3 and a RHEL4 and with every files on the CD.

Is anyone has a solution ?

No! The P600 will not enable the RAID in the DL360 g4p.

Dug around and found that you need HP 8-port SAS HBA (347786-B21) and HP SAS/SATA Cable Kit (398307-B21).

And my supplier has been telling me lies!!!!

Just noticed Michael's post has already suggested the Embedded card! Just add a cable and you'll be sorted.
