RAID Ctrl for SATA II drives.
hi, just purchased Proliant 180dl with 4 "SATA MDL 459318-001", but now need a RAID.
on - http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/proliantstorage/arraycontrollers/index.html
All raid controllers support only 1.5 Gb/s SATA, so... how i can get raid ?

Re: RAID Ctrl for SATA II drives.
According to that i can use any adaptor.
My HDDs are 3Gb/s SATA II, but on adaptors NOTES they support only 1.5 Gb/s SATA.
So question is - Adaptors that works with SATA will work with SATA II ?

Re: RAID Ctrl for SATA II drives.
your SATA II drives should automatically downgrade to SATA I when connected to a SATA I card. Some Seagate drives have a jumper you can set to force SATA I operation, but I haven't found that necessary as of yet.
