RAID Monitoring DL380G5 running on VmWare

Dear,

We try to setup a DL380G5 running VmWare 5.5. Works great but untill now we are unable to monitor the RAID controller. (P410). We would like to run a management tool that sends a warning message trough email when something goes wrong with one of the disks. We hoped ILO would fulfill our needs, but there is no RAID management within ILO.

Is there any way to config RAID managment where we preffer operating system independencies?

Hi,

Unfortunately for VMware there is no such utilities from HP available to monitor RAID or to diagnose the server.

Array Diagnostics or Insight Diagnostics is available only for Windows and Linux OS.

I found this from HP but not sure how usefull it is, but you may try "HP Remote System Management for VMware".
