RAID System and IDE Drives

We have a p 800 server running nt 4.0 server. os has got corrupted after applying ms sec patch. Won't boot now. CPQ and MS say prob is because cpqarray has to be latest version before applying. Customer did not know that.
Need to know how to install an IDE drive (pre-configured with NT4.0) into server so that RAID system does not boot its version of windows but is still see-able once the NT os on the ide drive has booted, we can then copy the spqarray file...
How do you set the boot order for ide against the cpq array.

Re: RAID System and IDE Drives

hopefully you have the F10 partittion installed...if so you can go through there to set the boot order to the ide controller...note the ide chain in this server DOES NOT support hard drives...you will need an ide controller as well as just the drives to get it to work...if you do not have the f10 installed it can still be done by downloading the system configuration utility and booting the server off the diskette created from this.. same procedure as above with this one
