RAID monitoring
I need to monitor the RAID on our HP servers.
Does anyone know what the correct OID is pointing to the RAID status? Or is there a similar function. I've already installed the HP Agent on XenServer. But what do I have to do now?
Thanks for your help
Matthias

Re: RAID monitoring
You should download HP Systems Insight Manager and monitor your hardware from there. SIM it's definetively the way to go.
Just enable SNMP read access for your SIM server on snmpd.conf:
rocommunity community_name sim_server
add your SIM server to your SNMP trap destinations:
trapsink sim_ip community_name
restart snmpd and discover the host from SIM.

Re: RAID monitoring
I see that system management homepage is supported from HP.
System Management Homepage
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=1121586&prodNameId=3279711&swEnvOID=4039&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-7c991daf61c943b89a14c72d7a
for further management, I guess HP SIM seems to be only options from HP.
thanks
