RAID on DL320 G5 (WINDOWS 2003) does work
Can anybody tell me how to get a functional ACU and RAID on WINDOWS Server 2003.
The smartstart utility doesn't support the RAID controller.
I am really surprised that a hp utility for a hp server does recognize the controller!!!

Re: RAID on DL320 G5 (WINDOWS 2003) does work
hi
generally DL320 G5 does not have a smart array controller(that's why smart start is not supported) so you need:
Solution - RAID disabled by default.
Need to access RBSU(BIOS), advanced option, select SATA RAID controller, ENABLE!
after that the option for RAID (I mean F8).
F8 is going to appear on POST when the controller shows up to configure the RAID level, press F8 and configure your RAID.

Re: RAID on DL320 G5 (WINDOWS 2003) does work
Hi,
I did it more then 5 times. The array is optimal.
But ACU under Windows doesn't work. ACU doesn't support the controller.
So, how can I use ACU or an other tool???
Thanks

Re: RAID on DL320 G5 (WINDOWS 2003) does work
as well the same because the controller that server has I think it is the SATA controller that controller does not support SCU neither nut there is this utility that is the "ACU" for those controllers:
HP SATA RAID Controller Manager for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003
