RAID on a DL140 G2

Hi, I recently purchased a DL140 G2 with a pair of SATA drives and I would like to set them up as mirrors... I was told that there should be a place in the BIOS where you can enable the RAID support however that seems to be missing. Am I looking in the wrong spot or is this an as-yet unsupported feature or is it simply not possible with this server? Thanks!

Check the POST, if get the option it will tell you as LSI configuration and press F8 i think to do it.

I am afraid the DL140G2 does not offer SATA RAID out of the box (unlike some other entry level boxes, e.g. ML110G3)

You need additional, slot-based controller:
HP 8 Internal Port SAS HBA with RAID
NOTE: For use with SATA drives only

that is true there is another one 4port sas controller also.

What 4-port controller are you referring to?

I am not aware of any - in particular there is nothing else than 8-port SAS HBA listed on the DL140 G2 compatibility list.

This server does support raid, you'll need the following parts.

HP 8 Internal Port SAS HBA with RAID
NOTE: For use with SATA drives only
347786-B21

SATA cable assembly
390492-001

By the way Prashant to reach the sata configuration menu users should press Ctrl+A once the HBA card is instaled.
