RAID

We have inherited an ML350 from a client and it has a single 36gb drive on the SCSI controller - the server does not have a SCSI backplane.

We have two spare hot swap 18gb drives and a RAID 431 controller we want to install in the server. I assume without the backplane we will not have the ability to hot swap the drives in event of failure. Is this correct?
