Hello,
I have an ML150G6 server with Intel E5504 processor and 4 GB RAM (2 x 2GB DIMMs). Both DIMMs are installed into white coloured sockets.
I recently upgraded the server with second processor of same capacity. Do I need to change DIMM sockets? (i.e. one each into white and back sockets)

Re: RAM installation on adding second processor to ML150G6
Hi,
After installing the second processor, if the server is able to detect all the 2 processors and 2 memory modules, there is no need to change the memory slot.
Thanks
I work for HPE.

Thanks for reply.
However, both memory modules are detected, I just wanted to know if it could affect performance?
