RHEL 7 INSTALLATION ON HPE DL380 Gen9 E5-2630v4 1P 16G-India Svr, 2XIntel® Xeon® E5-2630v4

Hi,

I am new to this Please Help me.

We have a   HP server (HPE DL380 Gen9 E5-2630v4 1P 16G-India Svr, 2XIntel® Xeon® E5-2630v4 ) with Raid 1 configuration.

We want to install RHEL 7 in it.

 Can I insert a rhel 7 iso through ILO virtual disk  and install it?

Will I face any driver issues if do so?

Should I download any drivers from Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support Center before installing it?

What is the recomonded way to install RHEL 7 In HPE DL380 Gen9 E5-2630v4 server?

If your system is using the embedded B140i Dynamic RAID controller it is recommended to set the controller to AHCI mode and use the RAID features built into the OS.

If you system has a 'P' or 'H' series Smart Array controller run HPSSA to configure the RAID and then boot your ISO over iLO Virtual Media
