ROC Module Problems
I am working at a client site that has serveral DL360's. More than half of them get an Error 15 in the event viewer when they boot. We have tried 3 different versions of the driver: The one that ships with 2000, 5.3.2.0, and 5.4.0.0.
The error says that the device is not ready yet. All controllers are running firmware 1.42 (as there do not seem to be newer versions available yet), and the latest system rom 8/24/00.
This only appears in the logs right after the system starts. It does not appear to inhibit the performance of the system, but it is annoying that these errors continually appear in the automated reports the client uses.
Thank you very much, love the new forum.

Re: ROC Module Problems
Any Compaq server configured with any Compaq Smart Array Controller
and running Microsoft Windows 2000 with CPQARRY2.SYS Version 5.4.0.0
from the Compaq Support Paq Version 5.04A for Windows 2000, may
display the following error in the Event Viewer after rebooting:
"Event ID 15, The Device..\Device\SCSI\cpqarry21, is not ready
for access yet"
Disregard this message, as it is an informational message only. It
only occurs during reboot, and does not affect the functionality of
the controller.
A permanent resolution to this issue will be in CPQARRY2.SYS Version
5.4.3.0, which will be on SmartStart for Servers Release 5.00
