Rack Mount Kit for ML350 G3

Currently we have a request of getting the rack mount kit for ML350 G3 server. However, after asking from the supplier, it seems that the Rack mount kit for ML350 G3 (290683-B22) is no longer in stock. Fortunately they do have the Rack mount kit for ML350 G4 (358350-B21).

This has brought to my concern on the compatibility issue between the rack mount kit and the ML350 G3 server. Can any one please double confirm whether this Rack mount kit (Tower to Rack conversion kit 358350-B21) can be used in ML350 G3?

Different part #s for two different servers, unless you can use it in a different machine, I would not go and buy.

Thanks for your answer. I do understand that there are different product code for these products. But does anybody has the experience in this?

When I check on the quickspec, it seems that the G3 and G4 are having the same form factor. Or, will the rack mount kit for ML350 G4 having additional component that doesn't come with the rack mount kit for ML350 G3?

I have the same issue and have bought a ML350 G4 (358350-B21) and it only fits G4's, I need kits for the ML350 G2 & G3 does anyone have any part numbers for these?

Just found an answer to my own question.

I have checked from my supplier here about the conversion kit for ML350 G3. However, it seems that they only can sell as spare parts.

The product code for the spare parts is 292231-001 SPS-CONV KIT, TWR TO RACK

However, please note that this is just a conversion kit without the mounting kit. Thus, I still need to find the mounting kit again in order to rack mount this item. Besides that, this conversion kit is also not cheap.

At the end, I gave up and just put the server on a tray.
