Raid 0 issue
Query Raised:
1) Is it possible to install two operating system (Win 2003 x64 & Win2003 x86) as dual in this server HP Proliant DL380 G5 with RAID 0
Our Specs below:
We have Currently 6 * 146 GB SAS HDD drive in this machine
We will have to configure these 6 spindles in a RAID-0 stripe set, so that we have a total of (146*6) = 876 GB available.
Out of this RAID-0 stripe set, we will configure 4 logical disks, which will be the storage visible to Windows, as follows:
-"Drive 1" - 78 GB, boot drive for 64 bit Windows.
-"Drive 2" - 78 GB, boot drive for 32 bit Windows.
-"Drive 3" - 520 GB, data drive for 64 bit Windows
-"Drive 4" - 200 GB, data drive for 32 bit Windows
With this configuration, I/O to "drive 1", "drive 2", "drive 3", and "drive 4" will actually be striped across all 6 volumes of the RAID-0 stripe set, --------> Is it Possible.
Can you please confirm the above config is able to work on this HP Server.

(afaik) it contains parameters for smartstart to configure the system correctly

Re: Raid 0 issue
NB hope this is a test machine, RAID-0 is obviously not a good idea for a production machine!!
