Raid 1+0 Configuration in E200i Controller
Is it possible to configure Raid 1+0 in E200i Controller and what is the procedure? Are there any special configuration to look at?

Re: Raid 1+0 Configuration in E200i Controller
no just use SmartStart CD in case it's a 300 - 500 - 700 Series Proliant or ORCA (F8 during POST) too. ORCA for 100 Series
just lunch either of those utilities and that's it

Re: Raid 1+0 Configuration in E200i Controller
I have a ML350 G5 Proliant server with the e200i controller with 4 disk currently configured in raid-5.
I can afford to get the server down, add 2 more disks and reconfigure to Raid-10.
If the smartstart is enough without going in the POST F8 option, this will be ok for me.

Re: Raid 1+0 Configuration in E200i Controller
you have the OS already install in that case you don't need to bring your server down
just use array configuration utility (ACU) and add those 2 HDDs and migrate your RAID

Re: Raid 1+0 Configuration in E200i Controller
Errr... need some help here, how do I enter into the ACU ?
Our server is Proliant ML350 G5 with E200i controller, I need to rebuild the RAID thus need to access the ACU during POST screen.
Many thanks in advance... :)

Re: Raid 1+0 Configuration in E200i Controller
Hi,
ACU is a web based tool inside the OS. In the post the tool used will be ORCA... You can get it by pushing F8 during the POST...

Bart

Re: Raid 1+0 Configuration in E200i Controller
Got another problems, 1 of the HDD in RAID1 is faulty and the HDD's model no longer available.
If I replaced the HDD with similar capacity but different model, can it re-build the array ?
Many thanks in advance.

Re: Raid 1+0 Configuration in E200i Controller
If the specification of both the hard drives are same and both are HP qualified options you can go ahead and replace it. should not be any problem.
