Raid Array 3200 drive sizing
I may be crazy to even think it, but is it possible to increase the drive size in a raid array, without having to reconfigure the array and restore the data on the new drives manually? Compaq's lit says the array only uses space equal to the smallest drive, but what if I replace all of the 9gig drives, one at a time until they are all 36gig drives? Can I then resize the logical drives past the original 9gig drive limits?

Re: Raid Array 3200 drive sizing
Hello Paul,
Is it possible to increase the drive size in a raid array, without having to reconfigure the array and restore the data on the new drives manually?
Depends on the Raid setup. If its only the data volume you plan to resize then yes, system volume can't be resized.
1.Whats the current raid level?
2.How many disks?
3.Number of arrays and logical volumes?
SRH
