Raid Driver ML110 G4 Win2003

Downloaded the driver for the HP ProLiant Smart Array SAS/SATA Controller Driver for Windows Server 2003
I F6 and install the driver. When setup continues, it reports it can not find any hard drive. Is there a different driver needed?? I only see different driver version on the site.
Any thoughts?

Thanks

Re: Raid Driver ML110 G4 Win2003

hello

remember that driver is only for smart array controllers.

so if your server has the default embedded SATA RAID the driver is:

HP Embedded SATA RAID Controller Driver for Windows 2000/Windows Server 2003

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3186395&prodNameId=3279681&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-9553913a25fe499aa09e22cfe2

do you know which controller server has?

It has the embedded sata raid. I will try that driver.

Re: Raid Driver ML110 G4 Win2003

Ok that driver worked. It saw the drive and formated. Then copied files. At the end of the copy it wants the drivers again.
The problem now is it is not seeing the USB floppy at the end of coping files. This board has no floppy port and have to use usb. It sees the USB floppy when you F6, but not later after coping files.
Any ideas?

Re: Raid Driver ML110 G4 Win2003

That's because you are using an USB floppy drive that is not the HP supported one for that server.
There's the possibility of modifying .INF file on the driver so it allows the use of non-HP floppy drives.
I think the details have been posted on this forum, but can't locate the page now

hi

it is a stupid question why kind of driver are you using? which brand?
