Raid and Netware 6 Issues

My company provides support for a site using an ML 370 running Netware 6 that has had issues from the start. It is using the onboard Smart Raid controller, and will function fine for a few days, or perhaps weeks, and then "hang" with a cold boot being the only way to bring the server back up. When it restarts, the volumes mount normally, but users still cannot log on. After a DS Repair, and another reboot, users can log on, and server functions return to normal.
The only software running on the machine that didn't come from Compaq or Novell is Arcserve, and it has been updated and shows no errors.
All software and hardware has been updated with the latest revisions. We have used the same software on HP and IBM machines with no issues at all. Any help anyone can give us on this will be greatly appreciated.

Please run diags on the server by downloading a diagnostic Soft paq No:SP19686 from our Web Site. If you need further assistance please contact our Tech Support at 1-800-OK-COMPAQ and ask for NOVELL Support.
