Hello,

I would like to know how are you installing the OS.

You can directly boot the server from the ESXi OS iso image.

Or try to install from the intelligent provision, follow the below link.

Hi SanjeevGoyal HPE Pro

We follow the instructions on the the  documentation. And we need first of all to update our server using SPP. The SPP image have been downloaded from HPE website. While installing it we are having this error message.

Starting initrd ...

Warning !!! Unable to mount the file system [cdrom]

Warning !!! Unable to mount the file system

Preboot maintenance mode

/bin/ash: can't access tty; job control turned off

Thanks for your support on how to solve this issue.

Hello,

Please follow the below steps to isolate the issue.

1. The server bios and ILO 5 firmware should be updated with the latest.

2. Remove KVM switch and connect keyboard and mouse direct to server (if connected). Intelligent Provisioning will be able to load completely.

Please let me know if the still persists.
